Earth Day
Everyday!

Celebrate Earth Day every day!
KBES PYLON SPIRIT ACTIVITY FOR EARTH DAY
Earth Day is here! It takes place each year on April 22nd. The first Earth Day was 50 years ago. People celebrate by doing things that help protect the planet. Some things people do to celebrate Earth Day include cleaning up parks, recycling, volunteering to plant things in your community, and doing things in nature. PYLON is having a spirit activity to celebrate Earth Day and your help is needed! Head outside and look for things in nature that you could use to either spell out the word EARTH or your name. You can use sticks, grass, stones, flowers, leaves....nature has endless possibilities for you to create your Earth Day project! Place your “word” on a piece of paper, your driveway, sidewalk, or whatever you can think of and share it with us!
Thank you,
Mrs. Farina and
Mrs. Francavilla,
for all you do for Kenneth N. Butz Jr. Elementary School!

PARENTS SURVEY--PLEASE TAKE!
Happy Spring! It is that time of year again for us to take part in our school questionnaire regarding technology. We again are partnering with BrightBytes, an educational research and analytics company, in order to learn more about our students’ school and home technology use for learning. Your participation is essential in helping us form a more complete picture of technology use for learning in our students’ lives. This will be done through a comprehensive framework called CASE that looks at the Classroom factors, Access to technology, teacher and student Skills and Environmental factors. We collected this information as well in the fall. The information gathered is vital to our implementation efforts for next school year and beyond.
Please know that all of your responses will remain anonymous to protect your privacy and they will help your child's school choose the right technology for their classrooms. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Please click on the Bright Bytes button on the left to take the survey. The last day to complete this questionnaire is May 11th. Thank you for taking part in this important initiative!

The NAIS Carnival desperately needs your help! Volunteers are needed for 1 hour shifts for games, inflatables, and exhibits. Clearances are not required. This is an easy, fun way to support your kids' school.
